Sydney’s unique eatery and bar, SoCal, is famous for its modern spin on Californian street food, and tantalising drink menu. SoCal boasts a southern Californian surf vibe and has become a destination hot spot for share-style food and casual catch-ups in the upmarket suburb of Neutral Bay. One of six venues owned by AppleJack hospitality, SGD has had the pleasure of developing each of their websites.
The passion for hospitality of Applejack’s founders Hamish Watts and Ben Carroll has led them to set the bar in Sydney’s social scene and night life, but they realised early on that you can’t tap into a potential client base without a “seriously good” website.
So naturally they turned to us at SGD to redesign their website for SoCal when they felt it needed some updates which included bringing the entire Applejack portfolio into the one global template.
In terms of SoCal we worked with their design team to relaunch a bright, soulful, and full-of-character website – giving the SoCal brand a fresh burst of California cool.

A Fresh Design for SoCal
The fresh design of the SoCal website itself has repositioned the brand as Sydney’s Taco Tuesday and Happy Hour hot spot. The fresh tones ooze Californian cool, while the functionality of the site allows for group bookings, menu downloads, and a calendar to market their bountiful offers.
