About the client

Neil McMullin and his colleagues founded OMP Sports Management over five years ago to provide not just contracts, but life management services to aspiring young AFL footballers, cricketers and rugby players. The staff pride themselves on being capable, relevant and professional, offering the complete package and upholding family values. Unfortunately, the previous OMP brand did not carry many of these qualities into the age of social media. It was time for a change.

Neil McMullin and his colleagues founded OMP Sports Management over five years ago to provide not just contracts, but life management services to aspiring young AFL footballers, cricketers and rugby players. The staff pride themselves on being capable, relevant and professional, offering the complete package and upholding family values. Unfortunately, the previous OMP brand did not carry many of these qualities into the age of social media. It was time for a change.

OMP approached SGD to help them establish themselves as a leader in the sports management industry. They wanted to attract additional clients over the next couple of years, while maintaining their boutique image.

We enhanced their “tired and boring” brand with the bold, attractive colours of orange, white and dark grey. The logo design consists of the letters “OMP” in gradated orange, with a streak across them that resembles the path to success that the company promises. The brand is now instantly recognisable and consistent across their website, email marketing, social media, stationary and business cards.

As for the website itself, it delivers OMP’s message clearly, without distraction. Large scrolling images of OMP clients greet the visitor on the Homepage. A list of services follows, ending in a spacious contact section at the footer where you can easily get in touch with OMP, including via social media. The site has few pages. “About” lets visitors scroll through the staff bios, while “Clients” displays portraits and bios of the young athletes currently employing OMP. You can also view services and client news on the other pages. Bright orange “Contact Us” buttons abound on the site, so that OMP’s call to action is always front and center, generating leads.

The redesigned brand and website affirm that OMP are capable professionals who employ an inclusive family style and pay close attention to preparing young athletes for life after retirement from sports. It’s easy for a potential client to tell that OMP are always cheering for their players.

Last but not least, the OMP site is powered by a Content Management System (CMS) that streamlines the process of updating content, so that Neil and his staff can focus on following up on all the leads the site is generating.
