Established in 2009, WEIZMANN AUSTRALIA facilitates opportunities that promote both the work of the Weizmann Institute and the development of Australian maths and science education and research, enabling mutually beneficial engagement between Australian scientists, students and educators and Weizmann Institute scientists, research and education programs.
Representing the Weizmann Institute of Australia, the Weizmann website needed to house a lot of content in a clear and easily navigated fashion.
The team was passionate about showcasing their work, but also wanted the website to serve as a place where people can come and learn. This is where we implemented an easy to use CMS which would allow their team to add news pieces to their site as they saw fit – without the need for external help. The news section of the Weizmann site allows for generating social media content and enhances their SEO – a great feature which we enjoyed brining to life.
In terms of functionality, the site had to perform a number of tasks:..
We achieved these call-to-action elements with an easy to navigate menu bar with drop down sub-sections. The site is tidy and compact without the need for long scrolling – which was their preference. We custom made all of their sign-up and donation forms, and set them up with a their desired database catchment options.
Design-wise, the site is clean and concise, with minimal imagery, and a clear focus on content. We enjoyed bringing this site to life for a such a passionate group of individuals, and along with the Weizmann team, we are thrilled with the result.
The team now enjoy a functional, well-designed website, which showcases what they do, and allows for building their database, capturing donations, and providing a space for news on science and the environment.
James and his team have delivered great service, flexibility and a can-do attitude that made hurdles less high to jump over and problems so easy to solve. A sunny attitude also really helps to get the job done and this was part of the package even on potentially challenging development days.
