As a brand, you must define yourself clearly before designing a website, brochure, or business card.
As we transform your creative brief into effective design tools, we’ll embed a strong and lasting image in your customers’ minds through creative and constructive logo design.
Branding is everything. Before you design a website, brochure, or business card, you have to clearly define who you are as a brand. Defining who you are as a brand often occurs during the logo development phase. Your logo is important – it’s the face of your company and everything stems from this one unique-to-your-business design.
It’s vital to set your brand up with a clearly defined logo and style guide from the get-go because first impressions count! Don’t start off soft and plan to change things in the future when you have cash flow. People will remember your brand in its early stages – so make sure you set the scene for a successful business that knows its place in the market.
At SGD, we like to think of ourselves as creative muses who design and craft a unique way of communication. We want you to stand out in a crowded market and be the leader in your field.
We always say that branding is the first step in a professional website design process. The website should always be seen as an extension of the brand and a consistently designed website and brand is going to communicate professionalism to your potential clients or customers.

Once we define your identity, the process flows through various stages of back and forth between us and the client to achieve the perfect online persona for your brand. Ultimately, it’s our goal to ensure that your customers feel connected to your brand on an emotional level. This is key. A template logo design may fail to achieve this for you and will show in your sales.
As we get to know you and your brand, we identify your key messaging in line with your business goals. To offer a full-circle digital solution for your company, we will provide everything from logo creation and style guides to digital collateral for you to continue your messaging across social media. We do this with your input every step of the way to ensure we deliver your digital assets on point for your brand.

— James Fulton Founder of SGD
There’s a common misconception that the branding or logo design phase should be the fastest and cheapest, but this is a backward way of thinking. Logo design and style guide development is a vital investment in your entire digital marketing strategy. Everything flows freely from this point onwards.
Design is the method of putting form and content together. Design, just as art, has multiple definitions; there is no single definition. Design can be art. Design can be aesthetics. Design is so simple, that’s why it is so complicated.

What is the best way to communicate with SGD?
Between the entire SGD team, we are online pretty much 24/7, so email is our fastest way of communication and it’s also the easiest to track. If you’re wanting to chat face to face and perhaps have a brainstorm session about upgrading or updating your site, we love a good Zoom session with our clients. We can use this time to screen-share and even run through training modules.
James and his team at Seriously Good Design were great to work with. They met our brief perfectly giving us a total rebrand of the company with a new logo, stationery, marketing material and website – including tutorials for us to take over the backend process. No request was too hard and they were patient with our endless changes throughout the rebrand journey.
