Here is one of my favourite tips for creating copy that anyone can use.
It’s a simple tactic that will help you turn dull marketing copy into something that connects with your audience on an emotional level, so they can see, and feel what it would be like to experience their life with what you offer.
And because your website copy is something that can be written once and used over and over again to generate leads and sales, it’s an incredibly powerful form of leverage.
The tip is this:
“People don’t buy what you sell, they buy better versions of themselves.”
This is brilliantly illustrated in the image below:
The team at Buffer have put together a fantastic article that covers this much better than I ever could, you can check it out here >>
The point is this: instead of describing what you offer, describe what your customer’s life would be like with what you offer.
This might seem like a really simple and obvious concept, but so few businesses are doing this that it can be a quick win for your marketing and easy way to stand out.
To learn more about why it works and for examples you can use, make sure you check out the article above.
Give it a try next time you’re writing copy and see how it works for you.
