Are you answering these questions on your website?

5 Essential Questions Your Website Needs to Answer

People don’t read websites like brochures—they scan for relevance.

If you want your website to turn visitors into customers, you need to answer five simple but critical questions—fast:

  1. Who are you?
  2. What do you do?
  3. How can you help me?
  4. Can I trust you?
  5. How do I get in touch?

If your site doesn’t answer these questions clearly and quickly, most visitors will leave before they even understand what you offer.

The good news is that answering these questions doesn’t require fancy features or complex content.

You can do it naturally through five essential web pages that every high-performing website should include:

1. Homepage

This is your first and best chance to show visitors they’re in the right place.

Use a strong headline that clearly states who you help and how.

Avoid cleverness—clarity converts.

Your homepage should also give a quick path to your services and showcase credibility straight away.

2. About Page

A great About page builds trust, but it’s not just about you.

Speak to your target audience about what’s important to them.

Help them understand your values, your team, and why you’re uniquely positioned to help them.

3. Services / Products / Sales Pages

These are the most important pages on your site.

Make it easy for visitors to see how your offerings solve their specific problems.

Use plain language, include real-world examples of your work, and simplify your process into clear steps.

4. Testimonials / Case Studies

Visitors trust what others say about you more than what you say about yourself.

Social proof—reviews, testimonials, success stories—removes doubt and builds confidence.

If someone is on the fence, this is often the section that tips them over.

5. Contact Page

Make it easy to get in touch. Include multiple ways to reach you (form, phone, location), and remove friction.

A contact page isn’t just practical—it’s a signal that you’re approachable and open for business.

The above pages, when done well, answer the five key questions every visitor is silently asking.

Next Steps

Here’s an action step for you:

Review your website with this lens. Does each page serve a purpose? Is the path from visitor to lead clear, simple, and compelling?

If not, start there.

A few small changes can make a big difference to your conversions and how well your website serves your business. 📈
