On 21 April, Google announced that they will prioritise mobile-friendly websites over desktop-only ones. This means that if your site is not tailored for smartphones and tablets, it will rank much lower in search engine results. In business terms, you could lose up to 30% of sales by not appearing alongside your competitors in mobile search results, since nowadays 80% of Internet users own a smartphone and 47% own a tablet.
Not sure if your site is mobile-friendly? You can let Google quickly test it for you (see our test results below) or you can try accessing the site on a mobile device.
If you discover that your site is not reaching those critical mobile audiences, please contact us for a free, no-obligation assessment of your site’s needs.
